Johnsons Muay Thai Kit

Johnsons Muay Thai was founded by Alice and Tommy Johnson in 2019. Their passion for Muay Thai led them to Thailand, the birthplace of the martial art, where they immersed themselves in training and fighting. After returning to the UK, they decided to open their own gym to share their expertise and love for Muay Thai, aiming to develop new fighters and help those seeking physical and mental growth through the sport.

Today, they run one of the largest Muay Thai gyms in the UK, continually growing and evolving. We’ve been working with Alice and Tommy since 2022 when they opened their first gym, and they’ve supported us hugely at Militar.

Our first official kit design was created for Johnsons Muay Thai. During the design process, we wanted to craft a kit that truly reflected the gym’s identity. We began with colour, featuring the gym’s signature shade of green, which is an integral part of their branding.

For the design itself, we centred it around the tiger, with a bold tiger graphic prominently displayed on both the t-shirt and Muay Thai shorts.

The tiger is a core element of the Johnsons Muay Thai logo, and after observing their training sessions, it was clear that the spirit of the tiger—symbolizing strength, passion, and bravery—was deeply instilled in their students.

Alice and Tommy push their members to their limits, helping them overcome personal boundaries, much like the tiger’s relentless energy.

To honour Muay Thai’s origins, we added the phrase “Johnsons Muay Thai” in Thai script on the back of the t-shirt, paying homage to the sport’s roots in Thailand.

The kit was a tremendous success, and we worked closely with Alice and Tommy to incorporate their ideas throughout the process. As Alice said: “We have been using Attanto as our kit provider for a couple of years now. They have always been fast and efficient, in not only sending designs but packing and posting too. We plan to keep using Attanto for the foreseeable future for sure!“
