Going onto fight higher ranked opponents across different cities. By the age of 15, Pacquiao had developed quite the name for himself as one of the best junior boxers in the area.
He then moved to Manilla, where he turned professional at the tender age of 16. The tough upbringing Pacquiao experienced moulded his mindset. Due to the struggles he had to face at such a young age, he realised the importance of hard work.
He knew to get what he wanted, he must earn it by doing the work necessary to attain it. Pacquiao tells us ‘I consider myself a student of boxing, a philosopher so to speak, and my philosophy is to keep learning.’ Showing us that he is always looking to better himself.
Though he has already achieved so much, he continues to find ways in which he can improve. With this growth mindset, Pacquiao has been able to continually develop over all the years he has fought.
