Strike Kings MMA Kit

Strike Kings was founded in 2022 by brothers Callum and Tom Mullen. Their martial arts journey began at a young age, with Callum starting at age 6 and Tom at age 5 when their mother took them to traditional jiu jitsu lessons once a week.

Their passion for MMA ignited when they watched their older brother compete in his first MMA fight. Callum was 13, and Tom was 12. From that moment on, their love for the sport has only grown.

Over the years, Callum and Tom have trained at various MMA gyms across the UK, including Higher Level in Scotland, where they honed not just their fighting skills but also their coaching abilities. Both are now active professional MMA fighters, fighting out of Aspire in Liverpool and their home gym, Strike Kings, located in Bradford.

Strike Kings has since become the largest MMA gym in Bradford, continuing to expand and evolve. Recently, they relocated to a bigger facility to accommodate their growing community of fighters and students.

We’ve had the pleasure of working with Callum and Tom since 2022, and they’ve been massive supporters of us at Militar. In fact, it was Callum and Tom who first approached us to design custom gym kits for their fighters, sparking the beginning of our custom kit journey.

For the Strike Kings kit design, we wanted to ensure it truly reflected the gym’s identity. Gold was a key colour in the design, inspired by their gym’s name, “Strike Kings,” symbolising royalty and strength.

The initial kit was created in a grey and gold colourway, but after the positive response, we expanded to include purple/gold and white/gold versions.

The design itself drew inspiration from battle and war themes, incorporating scratches and dots to represent the challenges and intensity of MMA, where fighters push themselves to their mental and physical limits like soldiers in battle.

We also took the opportunity to redesign the Strike Kings logo, giving it an emblem style similar to a shield, again inspired by historic soldiers who used swords and shields in combat. This bold new logo added a strong visual element to the kit.

The gym loved the kits, and due to the great reception, we continued to produce new variations and colourways. As Callum said, “XXX.”
